The Line, which is relatively new to the online space, recently did a 3-month pop-up of their brick-and-mortar called The Apartment in Chicago. The Line is headquartered in New York with Apartments in Soho and LA. As the name suggests, the boutiques are well-staged apartments full of beautiful, unique and well curated objects. They offer everything that an apartment might need...beautifully packaged soaps, creams, perfumes and candles...dog accessories and clothing. The Apartment also has books and many objets D' art.
Popping up in Chicago on Oak street attached to the Waldorf Astoria was strategic for sales. I found it a bit hard to find (I'm new to Chicago) but loved it once I got there. The staff said The Line is looking to open a boutique in Chicago. That is what a pop up is for mainly -- to test the waters.
Vanessa Traina along with Kate and Morgan Wendelborn created The Line.
The moment I walked in The Apartment, I was swept away by the wafting of several different scented candles. With so many interesting and unique objects, it was no coincidence that they popped up for the holidays.

I left with a Maison Louis Marie candle and perfume oil No. 04 and I still want so much more. Come and visit them at the Waldorf Astoria through the end of January.
