One of the most famous American paintings of the middle 20th century is Christina's World by Andrew Wyeth|1948 and hangs in the MoMA. The photograph of me in the grass in Newport, Rhode Island reminded me of this iconic painting. Not planned but serendipity.
In a departure from my usual tailored clothing, I bought a feminine Betsey Johnson polka dot chiffon dress and wore it to a polo match in Newport. DO keep experimenting with your style as you grow up into your 50s. Betsey Johnson is known for her rather over-the-top designs. This dress is pretty tame for her. Betsey used to live on lower 5th Avenue near me and I would see her hailing a cab in a crazy get up quite frequently.
