Tomas Maier collaboration

Tomas Maier, the creative director for Bottega Veneta for 17 years, did a collaboration with Uniqlo shortly before he left the design house early this summer. Lucky for us to get a taste of his artistry. Collaborations have been very popular ever since Target started them decades ago. Now Target only does one with WHOWHATWEAR which is great but I miss the designers. Anyway Uniqlo has picked up the slack and has offered collaborations with Inès de la Fressange, Carine Roitfeld and Tomas Maier to name a few. 

Getting back to Uniqlo x Tomas, the dress below was part of that collaboration. It is a synthetic chiffon that is very easy and breezy for the Indian summer that I am sure we will have. Wear it with a kerchief scarf (this one by Gucci), some flat sandals and unbutton it a bit to loosen up it's covered up first impression.

Tomas, the super luxury designer shops at Uniqlo which shows that no one is too fashionable to shop there. Ps. I hear that Inès de la Fressange will be back this fall.
